В статье дается краткая характеристика рандомизированных исследований, в которых сравнивали эффективность β-адреноблокаторов (ББ) и других групп антигипертензивных препаратов у больных артериальной гипертонией (АГ). Высказывается точка зрения по поводу места ББ в современной терапии АГ.

The article presents randomized trials comparing effectiveness of beta-adrenoblockers (BB) and other antihypertensive agents in patients with arterial hypertension (AH). BB position in modern AH management is discussed.
