Определить независимость сердечно-лодыжечного сосудистого индекса (CAVI) от уровня артериального давления (АД) при обследовании больных, уточнить зависимость его от факторов риска (ФР) сердечно-сосудистых заболеваний (ССЗ), установить прогностически значимую величину CAVI.</p></sec><sec><title>Материал и методы</title><p>Материал и методы. Обследованы 1563 человека: 447 здоровых людей, 855 больных артериальной гипертонией (АГ) и 261 больной сахарным диабетом (СД). Методом объемной сфигмографии регистрировалось АД, определялись CAVI и плече-лодыжечная скорость распространения пульсовой волны (СРПВ).</p></sec><sec><title>Результаты</title><p>Результаты. Показана фактическая независимость CAVI от уровня АД. Величина его зависит от ФР ССЗ: возраста, наличия АГ, СД, отягощенной наследственности по АГ, избыточной массы тела, окружности талии, гиперхолестеринемии. Жесткость сосудистой стенки интегрирует влияние ФР ССЗ на организм, а количественным отражением этого является CAVI, прогностически значимая величина которого составляет 9.</p></sec><sec><title>Заключение</title><p>Заключение. Метод объемной сфигмографии с определением CAVI рекомендуется для скрининговых исследований с целью выявления лиц высокого риска заболеваний сердечно-сосудистой системы</p></sec></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><sec><title>Aim</title><p>Aim. To demonstrate the independence of cardio-ankle vascular index (CAVI) from blood pressure (BP) level, to investigate CAVI associations with various risk factors (RFs) of cardiovascular disease (CVD), to determine prognostic CAVI level.</p></sec><sec><title>Material and methods</title><p>Material and methods. In total, 1563 individuals were examined: 447 healthy subjects, 855 patients with arterial hypertension (AH) and 261 patients with diabetes mellitus (DM). BP level, CAVI and brachio-ankle pulse wave velocity (PWV) were measured by volume sphygmography method (VaSera-1000, "Fukuda Denshi", Japan).</p></sec><sec><title>Results</title><p>Results. Volume sphygmography method demonstrated high reproducibility, with CAVI independence from BP level. CAVI was dependent on CVD RFs: age, AH, DM, family history of AH, overweight, waist circumference, and hypercholesterolemia. Vascular wall stiffness could integrate CVD RF influence on the organism, which is reflected by CAVI. Prognostic CAVI level was equal to 9.</p></sec><sec><title>Conclusion</title><p>Conclusion.
