Рассмотрены результаты исследований о применении высокоселективного b-адреноблокатора бисопролола в лечении артериальной гипертонии и/или ишемической болезни сердца. Приведены данные доказательной медицины, подтверждающие высокую эффективность этого препарата. Обсуждаются вопросы применения бисопролола у различных подгрупп больных сердечно-сосудистыми заболеваниями, в т.ч. лиц пожилого возраста и курильщиков.

The authors review the current evidence on the effectiveness of a highly selective b-adrenoblocker bisoprolol in the treatment of arterial hypertension and/or coronary heart disease. The issues of bisoprolol therapy in the specific clinical subgroups of cardiac patients (such as elderly people and smokers) are discussed.
