<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>This publication is a continuation of the review of cardiac biomarkers approved by the Food and Drug Administration (USA), including analysis of prospective research, clinical trials and meta-analyses. In the first part, along with data on general concepts, definitions and classification of biomarkers, diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers of cardiovascular diseases associated with atherosclerosis are studied. In the second part of the review, valid cardiac biomarkers and their diagnostic value in clinical practice are considered.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>циркулирующие биомаркеры</kwd><kwd>лабораторная диагностика</kwd><kwd>FDA</kwd><kwd>сердечно-сосудистые заболевания</kwd><kwd>атеросклероз</kwd><kwd>ишемическая болезнь сердца</kwd><kwd>сердечная недостаточность</kwd><kwd>фиброз</kwd><kwd>инфаркт миокарда</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>circulating biomarkers</kwd><kwd>laboratory diagnostics</kwd><kwd>FDA</kwd><kwd>cardiovascular diseases</kwd><kwd>atherosclerosis</kwd><kwd>coronary artery disease</kwd><kwd>heart failure</kwd><kwd>fibrosis</kwd><kwd>myocardial infarction</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Barker PE.
