<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Current prophylactic actions prevent or significantly delay the majority of cardiovascular diseases (CVD). Various factors are interconnected and affect a person throughout his life, determining the risk of CVD. This indicates the need for preventive measures at all stages of life and even before birth. The beneficial effects of CVD prevention are realized through various genetic, epigenetic and metabolic mechanisms. Due to the fact that many risk factors for CVD have a cumulative effect, the introduction of preventive measures from the earliest life stages will be most effective. The purpose of the article is to consider various aspects of CVD prevention in the preconceptional, prenatal and infant periods.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>профилактика</kwd><kwd>сердечно-сосудистые заболевания</kwd><kwd>экспосом</kwd><kwd>преконцепционный</kwd><kwd>пренатальный</kwd><kwd>грудной период</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>prevention</kwd><kwd>cardiovascular diseases</kwd><kwd>exposome</kwd><kwd>preconception</kwd><kwd>prenatal period</kwd><kwd>infancy</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Piepoli MF, Hoes AW, Agewall S, et al. 2016 European Guidelines on cardiovascular disease prevention in clinical practice: The Sixth Joint Task Force of the European Society of Cardiology and Other Societies on Cardiovascular Disease Prevention in Clinical Practice (constituted by representatives of 10 societies and by invited experts) Developed with the special contribution of the European Association for Cardiovascular Prevention &amp; Rehabilitation (EACPR).
