В повседневной практике врача достаточно часто встречаются трудности в разграничении ишемической болезни сердца, и так называемых, «стрессорных» изменений миокарда, встречающихся у лиц, занимающихся спортом. Обычно же, ишемическая болезнь сердца не является основной причиной изменений, регистрируемых на электрокардиограмме спортсмена,  чей образ жизни скорее способствует профилактике атеросклероза. В то же время, изменения свойственные спортивному сердцу, могут в значительной степени имитировать ишемические. Особенно сложна дифференциальная диагностика у спортсменов-ветеранов старше 35 лет, когда риск развития ишемической болезни сердца начинает возрастать и приближаться к показателям в общей популяции.   

Usual practice of a physician quite oftenly shows difficulties in differentiation of ischemic heart disease and so called “stressor” myocardium changes, occuring in persons participating in sports.
