Приводятся факты, подтверждающие “холестериновую теорию атерогенеза”. Обращается внимание на возможное участие в  развитии атеросклероза микрососудов кровеносной системы — vasa vasorum.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article discusses different points of view on atherosclerosis development. The facts confirming the lipid hypothesis are presented.
