<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The spread and consequences of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic are currently one of the most pressing public health challenges in the world. Despite the fact that experience accumulates in the treatment and monitoring of COVID-19 patients, certain aspects are still a clinical dilemma. In particular, this regarded the use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) during the pandemic, both as a symptomatic treatment of infection, and in patients with comorbidities requiring NSAID. A series of studies did not establish evidence of the risk of infection and complications from NSAID therapy in COVID-19. At the same time, the practitioner should take into account the risk of specific NSAID-associated complications, which also remain relevant during the COVID-19 pandemic. This resolution focuses on the evolution of ideas about NSAID use and safety in COVID-19, and also emphasizes the particular relevance of their use for a number of clinical situations.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>COVID-19</kwd><kwd>нестероидные противовоспалительные препараты</kwd><kwd>ибупрофен</kwd><kwd>симптоматическое лечение</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>COVID-19</kwd><kwd>non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs</kwd><kwd>ibuprofen</kwd><kwd>symptomatic treatment</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Временные методические рекомендации “Профилактика, диагностика и лечение новой коронавирусной инфекции (2019-nСoV)”. https://static-2.rosminzdrav.ru/system/attachments/attaches/000/049/302/original/%D0%92%D1%80%D0%B5%D0%BC%D0%B5%D0%BD%D0%BD%D1%8B%D0%B5_%D0%9C%D0%A0_2019-nCov_%2829.01.2020_-_9%291-3.pdf?1580370334.
