Изучение связи метаболического синдрома (МС) с риском развития инсульта (МИ) у жителей г. Новосибирска в возрасте 45–69 лет.</p></sec><sec><title>Материал и методы</title><p>Материал и методы. В рамках международного, проспективного, когортного исследования HAPIEE (Health, Alcohol and Psychosocial factors In Eastern Europe Project) методом скрининга обследована популяционная выборка из 9363 жителей Новосибирска в возрасте 45–69 лет.</p></sec><sec><title>Результаты</title><p>Результаты. Выявлен высокий уровень распространенности метаболических нарушений в популяции, изучены уровни и характер распределения кардиометаболических факторов у лиц, впервые перенесших МИ. Методом “случай-контроль” исследования установлено, что сочетание артериальной гипертонии и абдоминального ожирения повышает относительный шанс (ОШ) развития МИ в изученной популяции.</p></sec><sec><title>Заключение</title><p>Заключение. Показано 2-кратное увеличение риска МИ при 9-летнем проспективном наблюдении лиц с клиникой МС. Определены прогностические модели сочетания компонентов МС, влияющих на ОШ развития МИ в городской популяции Сибири.</p></sec></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><sec><title>Aim</title><p>Aim. To explore the association between Metabolic Syndrome (MS) and risk of stroke in Novosibirsk citizens aged 45–69 years.</p></sec><sec><title>Material and methods</title><p>Material and methods. As a part of an international prospective cohort HAPIEE study the population sample of 9363 residents of Novosibirsk aged 45–69 years were surveyed by screening method.</p></sec><sec><title>Results</title><p>Results. A high prevalence of metabolic disorders in the population was revealed; the levels and distribution of cardiometabolic factors in first-ever stroke examined. It was found by the “case-control” study, that the combination of hypertension and abdominal obesity (AO) increases the odds ratio (OR) for stroke in the population studied.</p></sec><sec><title>Conclusion</title><p>Conclusion. It was shown to 2-fold increase in the risk of stroke in people with MS by 9-year prospective observation.
