In the beginning of XXI century the problem of the epidemiology and prevention of cardiovascular diseases and their treatment becomes increasingly important. Therefore, the creation in 2002 of the journal devoted to this subject, made a significant contribution to the development of modern medicine in the field of cardiology. From 2003 to 2011 the Journal published the scientific materials of Russian National Congress of Cardiologists, Russian clinical recommendations of the Russian Scientific Society of Cardiologists.

From 2012 to 2020, the Journal publishes abstracts of the annual international Forum of Cardiologists and General Practitioners and National Society for Cardiovascular prevention and rehabilitation. Issued under the auspices of the Russian Society of Cardiology with a periodicity of 6 issues per year. Editor-in-Chief - Academician of the RAS, Professor R. G. Oganov.
