Растительные стерины и станолы как пищевые факторы, снижающие гиперхолестеринемию путем ингибирования всасывания холестерина в кишечнике

Аннотация

Обзор посвящен механизму действия, гиполипидемической активности, структурной характеристике и безопасности применения растительных стеринов и станолов. Фитостерины и фитостанолы ингибируют всасывание холестерина (ХС) в кишечнике, тем самым снижают его уровень в плазме крови. Особое внимание уделено проспективным эпидемиологическим исследованиям, в которых на репрезентативной выборке показано, что концентрация фитостеринов и фитостанолов в плазме крови у пациентов с ишемической болезнью сердца (ИБС) была значительно ниже по сравнению с лицами без этого заболевания. При оценке относительного риска было обнаружено, что двукратное увеличение концентрации ситостерина в сыворотке крови связано со снижением риска ИБС на 22 %. Показано, что эфиры растительных стеринов и станолов могут рассматриваться как эффективные и безопасные ингредиенты, обогащение пищи которыми снижает уровень ХС в крови — одного из основных факторов риска сердечнососудистых заболеваний.
